These two hacks could be interesting if you have a dual-language board.

The first hack allows visitors who are not logged in to switch between two languages. It also detects the language depending on the browser settings if no language cookie is found. If a user creates an account, the language he/she is currently using is written in his/her user profile.

The second one allows to define a different categories order depending on the choosen language. If you have for instance a German forum, but also a small English category, you can then define that the English category is displayed last when somebody uses the german language, and that it is displayed first when somebody uses English.

Any other info: Works for two languages only. At the moment it is implemented for English and German. But it should be easy to adapt it for any other two languages.

I've just came across this. - I quite like the general idea of trying to set the default threads language like the browser's preferred language setting.

Has anybody ever got this hack running?
Looks that there are some severe bugs (like missing parenthesis)
in the code supplied with V. 0.9 here, and I had to de-install
it right again.

Noox, have you further worked on this hack on your boards?
